Mooseville University Teaching Philosophy
We believe there are three pillars to teach Mass Communications effectively:

-
Practical application is a must.
-
Real-world simulation is preferred.
-
Creativity and passion are essential.
All MU classes have a real-world, practical application foundation at their roots. By using actual clients, products, services, and scenarios students become better equipped to enter their careers work-ready.
Whether it's creating a crisis scenario for a live press conference, hosting a campus-wide arts festival, or requiring a musical performance with accompanying live DVD, every class has practical application woven into its fabric.
We use a variety of examples to supplement lecture material. Information is current, and our hooves are on the pulse when it comes to trends, marketing tactics, and pop culture.
Advertising and PR don't exist in a vacuum, and we strive to incorporate all areas of Mass Communication into our curriculum to better enhance our students' skill set.
We put in as much effort as our students do, and MU classes aren't blow-offs. There's a feeling of organized chaos to the syllabus, and lectures are lively, animated, and engaging.
Students might not understand the fast-paced style at first but, in the end, most forget they're in an academic environment and eagerly dive headfirst into the learning experience.
